As a freelance journalist, I've had the privilege of having my name repped for some pretty darn cool publications (and people, too.) They include: Riviera Magazine, NPR Affilifate KPBS, San Diego Magazine, Angeleno Magazine, and more. As a freelance copywriter, I get to toss objectivity aside and exercise my right to exaggerate. Words vs. pictures? As they say, a picture if worth a thousand of 'em, and my right brain can't stop doing battle between the two. Below are a few examples of my graphic design, web design, and illustration work. I'm looking to build my portfolio a bit, so hit me up if you're interested in working together. I like to draw, and have a serious affinity for fashion illustration. Everything below was sketched out on a Wacom tablet (the best!) and later tweaked in Photoshop.

the backstory
Ruthless optimist with a sarcastic streak so subtle, it sometimes goes unnoticed (those who notice it, she notices in return). Must, must, must be creating something, or will be uncomfortably discontent. Southern California native currently on the move, wishes to be stationary in a modern-day metropolis such as San Francisco, London or New York.
I've been a professional nomad for the past year under strange means--so far, I've visited Beijing, Istanbul, Mexico City, Paris, and Milan. You can read all about it on my travel blog, Afterisms.

Technicalities:
- B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Graphic Design from San Diego State University
- Three years journalism experience covering local and national art, culture and style for publications such as NPR-affiliate KPBS, Riviera Magazine, and San Diego Magazine
- 1 year experience copywriting with a side of project management (Loves to tell the stories of others, but also sees the beauty of alliteration/exaggeration)
- 5 years of freelance experience graphic design/web design/illustration (supplemented with additional online coursework and late nights with a Wacom)
- 25 years of life experience living, breathing, et. al (references available upon request!)
